Directional drilling and complex well conditions

As a flexible connecting component between the riser and the top drive/rotating device, and between the pump and the lower end of the riser, high-pressure pumping of mud is used in oil drilling and exploration. Suitable for onshore deep well and offshore drilling platform operations, buffering equipment vibration, compensating for installation deviations, ensuring stable mud transportation, assisting in drill bit cooling and rock carrying, widely used in Indonesian offshore oil fields and domestic shale gas drilling projects.

Satisfying high demand operations such as directional drilling and large displacement wells, API 7K rotary drilling hoses can be used as a motion compensator hose to counteract the vertical wave motion of offshore drilling platforms and stabilize rotating drilling equipment. In the development of thin oil layers and the correction of old well lateral drilling, precise control of mud transportation, combined with a rotary guidance system, achieves high-precision extension of wellbore trajectory, improves recovery rate, and reduces operational risks.

Resistant to marine salt spray and high temperature/high corrosion environments on land, API 7K rotary drilling hoses can achieve high-pressure mud transportation between barges and platforms on offshore drilling platforms (with a length often greater than 13.5 meters), and can also be used for operations in hazardous gas wells containing hydrogen sulfide (HS), providing reliable flexible connections for drilling and exploration, and adapting to overseas oil and gas development scenarios such as Indonesia and the Middle East.

Storage Guidelines

1. Empty Before Storage: Always fully drain hose assemblies before storing to prevent residual fluids from causing internal corrosion or mold growth.

2. Optimal Packaging: Whenever possible, store hoses in their original shipping crates. This shields them from solvents, corrosive substances, ozone, and sunlight. Keep coiled hoses horizontally to maintain their structural integrity.

3. Ozone & Sunlight Avoidance: Avoid storing hoses near electrical equipment that may emit ozone, such as generators or transformers. Also, refrain from long – term storage in high – ozone regions. Protect hoses from direct, reflected, or even window – filtered sunlight to prevent rubber degradation.

4. Prevent Compression: Never stack hoses or place heavy objects on top of them. Compression can distort the hose shape, damage internal reinforcement, and reduce overall lifespan.
